Innovation.

For me, innovation isn’t just about the latest gadget or a flashy new app. It’s about intentionally unleashing creativity and using clever new approaches – especially technology – to genuinely solve real-world problems. I’m incredibly passionate about fostering an entrepreneurial spirit that isn’t just chasing profit, but is deeply rooted in strong social values, tackling big stuff like climate challenges and health issues.

It’s about empowering people to think differently, to challenge the status quo, and to build businesses that are a force for good. That’s the kind of balanced, forward-thinking approach that gets me excited. Keep reading for a glimpse into how I champion purposeful innovation and encourage the next generation of change-makers.

Business Partnerships

I genuinely get a buzz from working with businesses that are using their power for good, especially those tackling climate and health challenges head-on. For me, strong partnerships aren’t just about commercial gain; they’re about aligning values to drive meaningful change.

I love connecting with entrepreneurs and organisations who share a vision for social impact, leveraging business models to create innovative solutions that resonate with a balanced future. It’s about finding that sweet spot where profit meets purpose.

Case Study: Rewild The Child

I joined the Smartphone Free Childhood movement as a concerned parent, and it led me to partner with regional leaders here in Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

Our mission was simple: create a family camping festival where people could truly disconnect from their devices and reconnect with nature and each other.

The Why

Rewild The Child was inspired by Smartphone Free Childhood – a growing movement of families who believe childhood’s too short to scroll away.

Careers Education

When it comes to careers education, I’m all about shaking things up. While traditional routes are still valid, I truly believe we need to inspire and equip young people with the entrepreneurial mindset to create their own futures, rather than just fit into existing slots. This means focusing on life skills, adaptability, and understanding how they can use their skills and creativity to drive change.

My work involves helping schools rethink their careers curriculum, particularly around Gatsby benchmarks 5 and 6, to help students envision a world where their work can have real purpose and impact – maybe even starting their own planet-saving venture!
